Design of a micro aerial vehicle

Public

The goal of this project was to design and build a Micro Aerial Vehicle (MAV) to compete in the 5th Annual International Micro Aerial Vehicle competition, hosted by the University of Florida. The WPI MAV finished fourth out of nine competitors in the heavy-lift competition, and was the highest ranked first-year school. Powered by an electric motor, the WPI MAV measures 12.8 inches in its maximum linear dimension and weighs less than 12.5 oz.
