Evaluation of DCBT
PublicThis project implemented the Dynamic Class Based Threshold (DCBT) queue management algorithm in addition to a packet requeuing mechanism called Cut-In-Packet Scheduling (ChIPS). These algorithms were then compared to other popular queue management schemes. To achieve this goal, code was developed as an extension to the Linux kernel. Extensive testing of DCBT, ChIPS, and other Linux queuing mechanisms took place in a controlled environment. Testing showed that these implementations were effective and fair as queue management schemes.
