We applied statistical process control tools to determine whether the Polaroid Graphics Imaging release test for PolaProof inksheets is acceptable. Extensive research focusing on quality management was followed by an analysis of the current QC release process and related datasheets. We evaluated inksheet variability using 1-Way ANOVA and standard deviations. Variability between lots appeared more significant than within lot variations, but measurement precision. Specific recommendations include the redesign of the datasheet and the use of the Taguchi Methods.
