Network analysis of Nintendo DS traffic

Public

This paper studies the characteristics and behaviors of wireless networks utilized by the Nintendo DS during multi-player gaming. The nature of DS wireless multiplayer is explored. By setting up a PC to sniff wireless traffic, we were able to perform carefully designed experiments that would allow for a comparative analysis of two, three and four players. The resulting data was used to discuss scalability and network architecture.
