In this project we provided a review of the planning consultation process in the London Borough of Merton. Our review consisted of post surveys and phone interviews involving respondents to previous consultations. We conducted a comparative analysis of responses and assessed the implementation of Best Value in consultations. The outcome of our study determined which methods would improve public participation, provided a strategy for incorporating Best Value into future consultations, and established the preferences residents have for feedback and consultation methods.
