Tunable laser diode system design

Public

This project involved the design and construction of a tunable laser-diode light source to be part of an apparatus to monitor hemodialysis efficiency in kidney patients. The project included developing a full understanding of laser diodes and peltier junctions, as well as development of electronic printed circuit boards for creating wavelength and intensity control systems. The intensity control and wavelength tuning speed were tested and evaluated, as well as the operating range of the system.
