Value engineering -- Bullard Street Elementary School

Public

This MQP incorporates the concepts of Value Engineering to identify cost/value-effective alternative solutions to selected components of an elementary school project currently being built at Bullard Street in Holden, MA. Value Engineering is now becoming an integral part of our civil engineering curriculum making this project extremely useful to educate us further in this field. This project develops two important phases. The first is the understanding of the VE workshop, learn important VE techniques for analyzing construction projects. The second phase is the development of a series of spreadsheets that can be used as a tool that will aid and ease the value engineering process.
