Student Work
Linux CNC with enhanced machine control
PublicWorking with Professors Rong, Weir, and several engineers affiliated with LinuxCNC, this project is designed to test and prove the feasibility of Linux based CNC G-Code control for an outdated Daedal 2-D Machining Table. This project utilizes free Enhanced Machine Control software, and attempts to effectively communicate with the table so it can again be feasible machining equipment. WPI may benefit from this project by applying it to unused and outdated equipment. Future projects could expand this project's scale.
