Ball Mountain Dam access bridge

Public

This project involves the design and cost estimate of an access road and bridge for the Ball Mountain Dam in Vermont. This project was developed in conjunction with the US Army Corps of Engineers. Different bridge layouts were considered in order to minimize design complications and cost. A comparison of construction materials was developed to help choose the best system for the design. A final bridge design for the 108m (356 ft.) bridge was developed using a cast-in-place concrete slab with steel plate girders.
