Palm Print
PublicIn recent years, additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, has become wildly popular as 3D printers are becoming more accessible to consumers. 3D printers allow users to create intricate designs which would be impossible by traditional means. Since 3D printing is done in layers, it is typically more efficient than machining. Additionally, 3D printers can use a variety of materials such as plastic, metal, and resin for different sectors from the medical to the food industry. Currently, 3D printers are not portable and therefore can not travel with its user. This can limit its accessibility. In this project, our team will be looking into designing a compact model that can easily fit into a backpack. This will allow the user to print necessary parts regardless of their surroundings.
