A Chinese critique of the Apollo program
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerChina is presently at a technological level comparable to the United States in the 1960's with regards to manned space flight. In critiquing the United States' Apollo Program this speculative study of how society shapes technology explores how people working from a Chinese perspective might carry out a lunar mission to match or exceed the accomplishments of Apollo. A study of Chinese culture and political goals was used to posit a space agency mindset and plan a program that would result in the establishment of a Chinese Lunar base by 2050.
