Methods for Learning What Works in Educational Technology

open in viewerOnline learning platforms, such as ASSISTments, have become a major tool among teachers in the education sector. Our team looks at the Student Support Data and answers a series of research questions based on the effectiveness of requesting different student supports, like hints and explanations. This was implemented by conducting meta-analyses and using statistical analyses to draw conclusions. Due to the fact that only a few students requested tutoring, we found little to no effects between the two student supports.
