Pretreatment of reclaimed water for golf course irrigation

Public

The goal of this project was to examine the use of reclaimed wastewater for golf course irrigation. We first conducted research on water conservation, water reuse and regulations associated with reclaimed wastewater. We collected wastewater samples and analysed them for parameters such as biochemical oxygen demand, suspended solids, coliforms and nitrogen. Based on the reclaimed water regulations for golf course irrigation, we designed a pretreatment system to achieve the required water quality, which includes dual media filtration and ultraviolet disinfection.
