Automation of credibility analysis for cession strategies
PublicInsurance companies in Massachusetts cannot refuse risky drivers, nor can they raise premiums to cover expected loss. However, they can cede risky policies to a state-run agency. This project studies credibility analysis as an enhancement to the cession decision process. An automated system for developing neighborhoods of sparse policy groups and analyzing credibility weightings for these neighborhoods was developed for the Premier Insurance Company of Massachusetts.
