Crypto-SmartLock -- applying cryptography to physical security

Public

Electronic locks are rapidly replacing traditional mechanical locks in today's organizations, as they are easier to manage and are perceived as more secure. However, most electronic systems do not provide adequate security and are often even less secure than their mechanical counterparts. This project combines the security of modern cryptography and flexibility of Smart Cards to create an electronic door lock system that provides greater security than a mechanical lock but still allows the conveniences granted by an electronic system.
