VHDL design and implementation of a microprocessor

Public

The goal of this project was to design, simulate, and implement an original microprocessor system. The project was based on the project proposal from the EE574 VHDL Graduate Course, and featured an original load/store architecture and instruction set. After the architecture and instruction set were designed, the system was simulated with the Altera Max + Plus II software package. The fully functioning system was then successfully implemented and tested on an Altera UP-1 design board.
