Efficient AES implementation with modes of operation

Public

Hardware based encryption has many advantages over its software counterpart, including speed and the ability to handle large amounts of data. In addition, a hardware based approach is advantageous in that, once realized, it can become an integral component of various other devices (ATM machine, network encryptors etc). This project explores the implementation of hardware based encryption utilizing the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) cryptographic algorithm with Modes of Operation, as defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
