Feasibility of machining as an alternate method for gear manufacture

This project demonstrates how to use machining techniques to manufacture a mechanism involving a simple compound gear train. It introduces a new approach to machining gears and discusses the issues that arouse in the process. Also it discusses the accuracy of this approach and the limitations, particularly in comparison to other contemporary gear making processes.
