The Iconic Recipe Server is a Java application which specifies recipes abstractly, displays them graphically, and serves them to its users. The Iconic Representation of recipes allows for the exchange of recipes between cultures without the need to employ language translation. Evaluation found that users could readily understand these iconic representations.
