Breather VST App Plugin
公开 DepositedThe goal of this project was to create an audio synthesizer that uses a physics particle simulation to determine the waveform of its output. The approach was to use simple vertical reflections as an approximation of the actual physics for the inelastic collisions and to play a short burst of sine wave whenever a particle collides with another particle or a wall. The result is that the sounds occur like splattering paint on a painting, successfully using physics to synthesize a new kind of sound. In conclusion, using physics simulations to determine the audio output of a synthesizer is able to imitate the pattern of a rainstick, an instrument where pebbles or rice fall through a stick full of pegs, but with a customizable electronic sound.
