To develop of a mix design criteria for designing durable hot mix asphalt, the different gradations and asphalt contents were selected. The laboratory work consisted of making batches, mixing and curing, and compacting, testing the samples and analysis of the results. The results indicated that to design fine graded and coarse mixes, the construction voids should be limited to 7.5 and 6%, respectively.
