Developing a stylistic musical improvisation engine

Public

This Major Qualifying Project involves creating an engine capable of producing musical improvisation in various styles. Drawing upon the resources provided by the Java and MIDI technologies as well as an in-depth study in electronic musical analysis this project gathers information from an accompaniment MIDI file. Improvisation generators were developed to use this gathered information to create improvisational output. Careful consideration has been made to maintain the extendibility of this engine.
