Aerodynamic analysis of the solid-state aircraft

Public

The purpose of this project was to improve the aerodynamic analysis of the Solid State Aircraft, a conceptual aircraft that uses ionic polymeric metal composites and photovoltaics to form a solar-powered flapping-wing aircraft By improving the airfoil shape and optimizing the flapping motion, we were able to determine the various altitudes, latitudes and the times of year the aircraft would be capable of flying for the planetary environments of Mars, Venus and Earth.
