Location aware client-server services in wireless LANS

Public

This project aims to provide evidence that a Wireless Local Area Network based tracking application can be built with off-the-shelf hardware and software and have a commercial appeal. A prototype of a tracking interface was built in Java with Ekahau software using the WPI wireless network as the hardware base. Issues as well as recommendations concerning the project are investigated and described.

  • This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
