Centrally controlled LED based lighting

Public

The goal of this project was to design and test a fully working prototype of a lighting system using modern Light Emitting Diodes. A software system was produced and tested resulting in two fully working user interfaces and an application programming interface for future enhancements. The hardware was developed, including 802.15.4 wireless networking, buck-boost LED drivers, and a microcontroller to control the system. The efficacy of our device is 30 Im/watt, roughly double that of a 60 watt incandescent bulb.
