Dig-it: A Team Dynamics Study (Masked Version)
PublicThe purpose of this project is to understand why the Dig-it project failed and to apply those lessons for improving team creation and organization for future WPI endeavors. Data was collected through observations, personal interviews and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). The failure of the project was a combination of factors including, but not limited to, inexperience of the team, the poor organization and management of the team and poor cognitive diversity despite the best interests of the project's sponsor and leader. It is recommended that the MBTI is used to create more effective teams and careful thought is put into the operation and management of those teams.
- This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
