This project is a study to determine the economic impact of the use of different structural framing systems and the economic effects of installing an automatic sprinkler system. The project also discusses the social and ethical impact of decisions involving automatic sprinkler system installations. A compilation of common building materials and building systems is provided. This compilation can be used to identify construction systems as well as a guide to fundamentals of building construction.
