The 2004 FSAE manufacturing team was responsible for design and analysis of the mechanical pedal assemblies, the entire braking system, rotational wheel assemblies, body construction and a complete cost analysis of the project. The team also prepared a report that would serve as a reference for future FSAE manufacturing teams, completely outlining the manufacturing process, and including operating tips for the lathe, vertical mill and CNC machines. Recommendations are made on tool speeds and feeds and applications of each machine.
