Implementation of mathematical functions with reconfigurable computing for GOES image processing

Public

In this project we examined the feasibility of using Reconfigurable Computing technology to enhance the performance of mathematical operations. We chose three MATLAB functions and examined the possibility of executing these functions in hardware and sought to determine whether or not this would enhance their performance. We also examined the effectiveness of using a ping-pong memory transfer routine to process arrays of data larger than the available memory space.
