The axiom of choice and the axiom of determinacy
PublicThe history and consequences of the fundamental principle the Axiom of Choice are discussed. Its deductive strength is considered by examining equivalent and weaker related statements, complete with proofs. Finally an alternative, the Axiom of Determinacy is discussed, along with it's consequences.
