Class D audio amplifier

This project involved the analysis, design and implementation a Class-D audio amplifier with a power efficiency of greater than 90%. The circuit was optimized for a 12 Volt single-supply system using four power MOSFET's in an H-Bridge configuration to drive a 2N speaker load. Pulse-Width-Modulation (PWM) was then used to control the MOSFET's. In addition, switching losses were minimized by utilizing three-level PWM to prevent MOSFET switching for a zero-level input signal. Power measurements on the circuit confirm the theoretical predictions.
