Design of a technique for deployment of IEEE 802.11b/g WLANs

Public

In this project we performed coverage studies, throughput analysis, and traffic engineering for IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g wireless local area networks (WLAN). We designed a testbed and a scenario to measure signal strength and throughput of the WLANs and used the measurements to compare theoretical and actual coverage, and throughput. The aim was to provide guidelines for the evaluation of performance in an office environment for the deployment of IEEE 802.11b/g WLANs.
