Assessing MusicWorks’ Creative Resilience Program: How Music Interventions Nurture Students’ Resilience
Öffentlich DepositedHerunterladbarer Inhalt
open in viewerMusicWorks, a nonprofit organization in Cape Town, developed the Creative Resilience Program (CRP) to nurture the resilience and self-esteem of Grade 6 learners from marginalized communities, through social-emotional learning and music therapy. We evaluated the impacts of the program through surveys, student drawings, lesson observations, interviews with stakeholders, and a SWOT analysis. Our findings revealed that the program supports the development of resilience and individual growth in its students. This evaluation, which measures the impact of the CRP, could help increase the program’s funding and outreach.
