Embedding digital data

Public

This report outlines the design of a technology coded in MATLAB that embeds digital data on printed paper. This technology eliminates the need for storing information on a computer or on a server. Another major benefit of this software is that it makes transferring data easier from person to person especially in the instance where modifications of the data needs [sic] to be made. In the following pages, the process of embedding the encoded data from a hard copy paper document and decoding data through a scanned document is explained. Lastly, this report outlines the testing and verification process required to verify the accuracy of the technology. Ultimately, the test of any technology is its contribution to the world. Therefore, targeted applications and how they will benefit from this technology are highlighted in the report in an effort to quantify the usefulness of this project.
