This MQP is concerned with the design, development, and implementation of an Oracle performance-monitoring tool. The tool's purpose is to aid Oracle Database Administrators in the quick assessment of a database server, the detection of bottlenecks, and the discovery of other potential problems. The tool's module-based design incorporates concepts such as scalability, cross-platform portability and extensibility.
