Thin-Film Ferrofluidics
PublicWe study dynamics of ferrofluids in thin-film configurations. We first spend a considerable amount of time deriving a basic model to describe the flow in a limiting case. We then investigate the magnetization in the fluid, formulate a differential equation governing the curvature of the boundary, then finally study a pressure Poisson equation with a moving boundary.
