Grade Taxation: Exploring The Consistency Between Perceived and Actual Political Ideology

To discover whether democratically leaning groups will still stand for and support egalitarian values even when they are the ones targeted by taxes, 100 undergraduate students of Worcester Polytechnic Institute completed a survey asking whether they would support or oppose several different forms of taxation being applied to their grade point averages. By using a form of currency students are more intimately invested in, the participants would risk the same kinds of personal damages that conservatives theorize turn liberals to conservative politics.
