Generation of detailed ISS scenarios

Public

When developing an experiment, it is imperative for scientists who wish to mount scientific payloads on the International Space Station (ISS) to know the field of view and percent obscuration for each of the eight external payload locations on the ISS. The purpose of this project was to create visualization scenarios for the eight payload locations on the ISS. In addition to creating the necessary animation and software tools and models to acquire this information, this project also required the implementation of specific scenarios with various sensor locations, celestial and ground targets, and applicable solar and lunar constraints. The obscuration data from the scenarios is reported and analyzed in this report.
