Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) are a versatile technology that can carry out a wide range of tasks. The factors that influence UUV design are heavily interconnected, which makes their development difficult and highly iterative in nature. Under sponsorship from General Dynamics Electric Boat, our project aimed to facilitate this process by developing a UUV design tool software. After performing research, formulating our own operating procedure, and developing code, we successfully created a parametric UUV design tool in MATLAB. Our tool allows users to select desired ranges for UUV parameters before generating feasible designs that meet those criteria.
