Development of a PMI system for characterization of load-resisting structures

Public

Summary: The objective of this Major Qualifying Project (MQP) was to develop a system for remote noninvasive, quantitative characterization of load resisting structures. This system was to be based on recent advances in analytical and experimental methodologies relating to Projection Moire Interferometry (PMI). More specifically, current state-of-the-art in PMI was to be established, a PMI system was to be configured, a parametric model of its operational functionality was to be developed, validated experimentally, and employed to establish optimum configuration of the system for specific application(s) of PMI. -- p.20.
