Molecular computation

Public

The purpose of our project was to improve upon Adleman's method of solving a Hamiltonian path problem using DNA. Adleman performed his experiment in seven days, but our method for solving a Hamiltonian path takes four days and involves cloning and sequencing. We were able to repeat Adleman's part of the experiment, but we were not able to get the cloning strategy to work. We conclude by taking a present and future look at DNA computers.
