Bioreactor landfills

The objective of this project was to research and develop the fundamental concepts involved in designing and operating a landfill as a bioreactor at the Crapo Hill Sanitary Landfill in New Bedford, MA. The project includes the advancement and implementation of bioreactor technology to provide the landfill designer and operator with information essential for the successful application of this technology. Through an extensive research effort these challenges were to provide information and data for design of an effective landfill bioreactor.
