Traditional Himachali practices are at risk of being lost due to globalization and the lingering consequences of colonialism. To enhance awareness of these practices and their evolutions, an archive must be kept. We conducted a pilot study of Himachali medicine, cuisine, and culture by interviewing practitioners in each area and documenting their stories to include in a future website. We recommend continuing this study to further the mission of the Indian Knowledge Systems to preserve traditional knowledge.
