BaNCE: A Model for in vivo Bacterial Non-Continuous Evolution and The Lifecycle of a Press Release
公开Through applying concepts of directed evolution, this MQP explores the creation and viability of a system called Bacterial Non-Continuous Evolution (BaNCE). Employing the use of three plasmids, this system aims to evolve a protein by linking mutations in a gene of interest to cell survivability. Alongside this research, with the help of the WPI marketing department, a genre study of institutional press releases was conducted to understand how research, such as BaNCE, can be communicated and marketed to outside readers.
- This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
