Dynamic simulation of a valve train

Public

This project presents a dynamic simulation of a single cylinder of the Dodge Neon valve train. Background research was done on dynamic modeling and its mathematical base. The computer programs Pro/Engineer and Pro/Mechanics were used to model the system dynamics. A simple model was explored first to become comfortable with the software, then the actual valve train was modeled. The model's results were compared with predicted behaviors to ensure a full understanding of the results and limitations of the programs.
