Transcription of ribosomal RNA genes -- a review

Pubblico

This project reviews the transcriptional regulation of ribosomal RNA genes by discussing in detail the structure and the process of transcription of these genes. An understanding of these genes and their functions can provide explanations of gene expression and regulation between generations of organisms. It was concluded through a correlation between the existence of repeated sequences and sequence elements in Xenopus and Drosophila that sequence repeats play a role in regulating the transcription of rRNA genes.
