PCB Verification using a Built-in FPGA Security Monitoring IP

Public

Although there have been great strides towards chip security in recent years, there are still a plethora of avenues to be pursued. Towards this end we have developed a new method of detecting counterfeit circuit boards. This new method is automatic, self-contained, and much faster than standard operating procedures. Instead of using an external device such as a Vector Network Analyzer, we have deemed it more effective to create an on-board component which will perform the actions of a Vector Network Analyzer. The on-board component would determine and flag counterfeit boards, without human intervention.
