The objective of this project was to develop a long term plan for treatment operations to remediate the SD-5 plume at the Massachusetts Military Reservation in Falmouth, MA. The scope included research of past decisions related to the plume along with federal groundwater remediation procedures. Modeling was also used to characterize flow and transport for predicting future plume characteristics. A decision making matrix was then developed to analyze a variety of treatment options leading to a recommended plan of action.
