Simulation study of network congestion control

Public

This Major Qualifying Project investigates router congestion control mechanisms used in computer networks. Ns-2 simulations of TCP and UDP flows were run to evaluate parameter settings for Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN) and Random Early Detection (RED). The experimental results indicate that altering the ratio between min_th and max_th from the suggested settings can yield higher goodputs.
