The effects of these prolonged negative emotions can be physically, emotionally, and psychologically draining. To cope with the effect of intense negative emotions, humans have adapted three general strategies of regulation- response modulation, cognitive reappraisal, and attentional control. This article seeks to describe how these different emotion regulation strategies may be incorporated into an app designed to assist individuals with comorbid autism and I.D.D. report abuse.
